Professor at S3H wins Research Grant 2023 through Global Challenges Research Fund

Dr Umer Khayyam (Associate Professor S3H) has won Research Grant 2023 from UK’s Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (through the Global Challenges Research Fund-GCRF). This is the continuation of an earlier won grant and the achievements ( in the year 2020/21) on which this grant is awarded.

This grant project focuses on the professional writing program to support Global South-Pakistani early careers in publishing research on climate change vulnerability. Pakistani scholars will get strategic support and resources to amplify the impact of both their academic writing (journals and OpEDs) and knowledge exchange activities with the global North.

NUST School of Social Sciences & Humanities (S3H), will execute this workshop with a team of professors from the University of Oxford UK; AKU Pakistan; University of Bonn Germany, and the University of Virginia USA.
