Professor Dr Yasar Ayaz conferred Pride of Performance by the President of Pakistan
Another iconic moment of pride for the NUST family today as Dr Yasar Ayaz, Professor of Artificial Intelligence & Robotics at NUST School of Mechanical & Manufacturing Engineering (SMME), has been awarded the President’s Pride of Performance Award for his outstanding contribution in Science, particularly in Robotics.
Dr Yasar Ayaz holds a PhD specialising in Robotics & Machine Intelligence from Tohoku University, Japan. He earned his Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering and Bachelor’s Degree in Mechatronics Engineering from NUST College of Electrical & Mechanical Engineering CEME.
Dr Yasar Ayaz is the founder of Pakistan’s first Department of Robotics & Artificial Intelligence at NUST. He is also the Chairman of the National Centre of Robotics & Automation (NCAI).
Dr Yasar has authored numerous international publications. His work on Robot Navigation and Humanoid Robotics, in particular, has been cited by leading universities across the world.
