Secretary MoST visits NUST

Mr Ghulam Muhammad Memon, Federal Secretary Ministry of Science and Technology (MoST), visited the main campus of NUST on Wednesday. He was received by Engr Javed Mahmood Bukhari, Rector NUST.

In a one-on-one meeting, the Rector apprised the honourable visitor of some of NUST’s national and global achievements, R&D initiatives and its efforts towards building the knowledge economy through a robust ecosystem based on innovation, entrepreneurship and commercialisation of indigenously developed products and technologies.

Later, the Federal Secretary visited N-ovative Health Technologies Pvt Ltd (NHT) which is the first-of-its-kind facility in Pakistan for the production of medical devices and implants, set up as a consequence of strong R&D at NUST. CEO NHT Dr Murtaza Najabat Ali gave a detailed presentation on the facility, followed by a visit to various sections of NHT, including the Stent and Catheter production zones. Mr Ghulam Muhammad Memon greatly appreciated the efforts of the highly dedicated team of NHT.
