Students of NICE obtain funding from Ministry of Planning, Development & Special Initiatives
We are elated to announce the remarkable achievement of the talented students of NUST Institute of Civil Engineering (NICE) in the prestigious ‘Pakistan Innovation Funding‘ competition. Led by Raja Dilawar Riaz as the Group Leader and supported by Ammar Ali Arain, Usama Majid, and Muhammad Faizan, the team emerged victorious by obtaining funding from Ministry of Planning, Development and Special Initiatives, for their groundbreaking project, “Development of Large-Scale Concrete Printer” in Pakistan.
Under the expert guidance of their project advisor Dr Muhammad Usman, HOD Structures & Survey Department and co-advisor Dr Jawad Aslam (SMME), the team’s innovative project aims to revolutionise Pakistan’s construction industry by introducing large-scale concrete printing technology.
The team’s exceptional vision and the capabilities of their large-scale concrete printer garnered significant recognition during their final pitch before the Federal Minister of the Ministry of Planning Development & Special Initiatives and a distinguished panel of judges at Pakistan Television Network on June 22, 2023. As a result, they have been selected for the final award of Pakistan Innovation Funding amongst over 1000 applications from all over the country.
