The Department of Computer and Software Engineering (DC&SE) at NUST College of EME successfully hosted the 22nd All Pakistan Computer Project Exhibition & Competition (COMPPEC) from May 3-4, 2025. The event brought together a diverse group of students, faculty members, and industry professionals to celebrate innovation and excellence in the fields of computer science and engineering. This year’s COMPPEC attracted over 500 participants from 24 universities and 10 colleges and schools across the country. The event featured a wide range of competitions designed to engage audiences of all ages and expertise levels. The Project Competition allowed undergraduate students to present innovative projects in areas such as AR/VR, Software Development, IoT, and MechInnovate. Postgraduate students participated in the Three-Minute Thesis (3MT) competition, where they presented their research in a concise and engaging manner. Young learners from schools showcased their coding skills in the Early Age Programming (EAP) competition, while the Speed Programming event tested participants’ ability to solve programming challenges under tight time constraints. The competitions were highly competitive, and the judging process was rigorous, with projects evaluated on their creativity, technical depth, and practical impact.

The industrial panel discussion on “Bringing Big Ideas to Life” was highly engaging and well-received by the participants. Expertly moderated by Laiba Shahid from Atomcamp, the session brought together prominent leaders from both industry and academia. The distinguished panel featured Muhammad Rassam (CEO, LiGO), Naveed Iftikhar (CEO, Atomcamp), Fawad Kader (CEO, Contrivus), Saad Liaqat (CTO, Softoo), and Suniya Shahid (CEO, TechVention). The discussion sparked dynamic and thought-provoking dialogue, ultimately offering valuable insights and practical takeaways for both faculty and students.

Explore next-gen student projects, collaborate with innovative thinkers and witness engineering at its finest.
