Major General Muhammad Ali Khan, Hilal-e-Imtiaz (Military) (Retired) was commissioned in Corps of Signals in September 1990. The General is a graduate of Command & Staff College, Quetta and National Defence University, Islamabad. The General has a varied experience of command, staff and instructional appointments. He has served as Signal Officer in Chief, Director General C41 Directorate, Director Military Operations and General Staff Officer Grade-II at Military Operations Directorate, Director Electronic Warfare, Assistant Military Secretary and Deputy Assistant Military Secretary at Military Secretary Branch, General Headquarters and Staff Officer under United Nations flag at Liberia. He has also remained on the faculty of Pakistan Military Academy as Platoon Commander. The General has commanded 9 Signal Battalion, Signals 11 Corps & Military College of Signals. As a Commandant Military College of Signal, his contribution in the field of studies, administration and close interaction with the faculty to solve their issues is remembered remarkably. He took over as Pro Rector (Planning and Resources) on 04 June 2026. He is happily married and blessed with a son, daughter and a grandson.
