SCHOLARSHIPS AND NUST PHD FELLOWSHIPS (NPF)
NUST PhD Fellowship (NPF): NUST encourages the enrollment of full-time PhD students. Through NPF, full-time students will have the opportunity to do quality research and polish their academic skills by doing on-campus jobs.
Salient Features

- Selected full-time PhD students will get tuition fee waiver for 6x semesters (i.e. 3 years)
- All awardees will act as graduate assistants with their respective supervisors and on maintaining regular attendance will be awarded basic stipend i.e. Graduate Allowance of Rs/ 10,000.
- Awardees can earn additional stipend apart from Graduate allowance by performing on-campus jobs available in respective department / institution for a period of 8x semesters (i.e. 4 years) subject to displaying satisfactory academic performance.
- Engineering students can earn maximum stipend of Rs/ 50,000 and Sciences students can earn maximum stipend of Rs/ 30,000.
Eligibility

- Applicable for PhD students enrolled from Fall 2022 and onwards.
- Only full time PhD student fulfilling undermentioned conditions.
- Takes at least 09 credit hours coursework in each semester during coursework phase
- Available during office hours throughout regular semesters.
- In case a PhD candidate is employed, he/she has to obtain unpaid leave of 4 years from their organization in order to be eligible for award of NPF.
- Awardee should not be full time employed or on study leave during entire scholarship period.
- The student should maintain 3.50 CGPA throughout the coursework. The student must pass the coursework and both qualifier examinations within two years of PhD.
