MERIT GENERATION CRITERIA



Merit Generation Criteria for Admission on NET basis

Engineering / Computer Science / Business Studies and Social Sciences / LLB / Architecture and Industrial Design / Biotechnology/ BS Mathematics / BS Physics / BS Chemistry 
​NUST Entry Test ​75 %
​SSC / O Level / equivalent ​10 %
​HSSC (Part-1) / HSSC / A level * / Equivalent / DAE 15 % 

* O/A Level candidates who are in A Level (final year) will be assigned 25% weightage to their O Level equivalence marks as per equivalence certificate issued by IBCC, Pakistan.

Note:
  • The above policy is subject to change.
  • Merit for BS Biotechnology will be based on complete FSc / A Level  or equivalent qualification (as per IBCC Equivalence Certificate) result.
  • It is the responsibility of the candidate to provide the academic record in time to the University, as per the deadline.

For National Seats:- 

Engineering / Computer Science / Business Studies and Social Sciences / LLB / Architecture and Industrial Design / Biotechnology/ BS Mathematics / BS Physics / BS Chemistry 
​​ACT / SAT Score ​75 %
​​SSC / O Level / equivalent ​10 %
​HSSC (Part-1) / HSSC / A level * / Equivalent / DAE 15 %

Note:

  • However, requirement of SSC & HSSC / equivalence qualification with more than 60% marks is mandatory as per eligibility criteria.
  • NUST will not be responsible if result of HSSC / equivalent exam or ACT / SAT is not declared in time.
